January 31st 2009, Fan Art by Perlusion is up on the Fan Art Page.... I feel bad for waiting so long. Good news is...two more fan art and the gallery will have 300 Pieces of Fan Art!! September 3 2008, Even wonder what happened to Eric "Bibo" Bergeron the man that directed The Road to El Dorado? He's been making his own films in his native France of course! A friend of mine that I met through facebook due to our shared intrest in foriegn animated films has sent a link to Eric's animation company website. And yes it's called "Bibo Films." As far as if the pencil tests will be back up... maybe. I do have the permission from the artist to post them back up I'm just in no hurry. August 27th 2008, The pencil tests have been removed from Pre Production gallery as per the artist's request. August 22nd 2008, Huge changes to the Pre Production gallery! I now have almost twice as much as there was previously. Including concept art, color keys, a marquette, and I have compiled all of the pencil tests into animated gifs. Go check it out! August 21st 2008, I completely changed my bio on the About Me page and looking through my pages I may concider rewriting a lot on this site. I have also put on my list to make standardized buttons for the naviagational bar (no more messy random pictures and text links on the side.) A flash version of this site is still in the works but I really have to put the final touches on my portfolio flash site first and graduate before I take on such a major project (I will hopefully be graduating this December.) There will be an update in the character studies page very soon, for one it will change its name from "Character Studies and Concept Art" to "Pre Production Art" because there has been so much I have found recently that just doesn't fit under that specific category anymore. So it needed a more vague name. The Mexico page is also still under construction as well as a new page that will be "The Complete Collector's guide" a page dedicated to all the Road to El Dorado merchandise out there (atleast all to my knowledge but I've been collecting this stuff for a long time.) While I am on this short break from school I am trying to get as much done with this site as I can as well as trying to put together a resume, demo reel, finish my portfolio site and try to find an internship. August 10th 2008, Rare Road to El Doardo Lithograph for sale! If anyone is interested, I had an e-bay seller contact me about a Rare Road to El Dorado Lithograph that is for sale on E-bay. I told him that I already had one and said that I would forward his auction to the fellow Road to El Dorado fans since he said he is trying to fund his wedding and if anyone is interested in starting the bidding. I will tell you that this Lithograph looks absolutely gorgeous framed and the photo does it no justice, it's also about a 3ft by 2 ft picture. This one also comes with it's certificate of authenticity and is number 524 of 3,264. If you have any questions I'm sure he'll be happy to help if you contact him through e-bay. On another note I promise some updates soon, I have been using my livejournal to talk about upcoming content to this site since I usually get more feedback. So I haven't been ignoring this site, just talking about it elsewhere. April 6th 2008, There are new "Did You Know:..." facts and a new foreign movie poster from France on the misc. page Thanks to Kelsey aka fan_of_miggie for supplying facts #42-56. There are some airings coming up of RtED on HBO (see pale green box below for details). Oh and if you haven't noticed, I changed some colors on this page, because surprisingly, I actually like color coodination. April 2nd 2008, So I have for you the heartbreaking story all prepared but it was too much to write here so... here is a link to my livejournal. It also contains the pictures I mentioned earlier that go with my story. Anything orange is RtED related the tan colored text is stuff about me, anyone is free to read whatever. I also added a new link to the links page of a fanlisting called Gold and Glory. I will get around to cleaning up the links page soon because 75% of the websites linked there are no longer in existance. March 31st 2008, Happy Road to El Dorado Day everyone! (Did you think I would forget?) RtED Day is celebrated here every March 31st to remember the day RtED was first released into theaters in the US. It has now been 8 years since my crazy addiction started and unlike most RtED sites I'm still here. (Albiet more absent lately than before due to school.) Sorry I posted this upate so late (had class all day) but I did add a new section to the concept art page: pencil tests as well as one more model sheet. Definatly worth checking out especially for drawing and animation reference. I also have a new Wallpaper from a new contributor: Morgan see her wallpaper in the download section.I also have the replies from my question: What would the characters from The Road to El Dorado have for new Years Resolutions? Click here to see the resolutions! I also added a few more pictures to my ever slowly under construction Mexico page. I know it's taking forever but organizing and color adjusting in photoshop all the photos I have is a painstaking process. Check back soon (this time I promise...SOON) I've got a story to tell (with pictures) that is exciting and heartbreaking at the same time and of course RtED related. (I just have to get the pictures off another compter.) December 28th 2007, Since it's after Christmas, it's time to think about New Year resolutions. For me, doing more for this site when I can is one of them. This being only the 5th update of 2007 I realize just how pathetic that is. I wonder if there are still people out there who occasionally read this site. So I will ask this question to anyone who sees this... What would the characters from The Road to El Dorado have for new Years Resolutions? Now if anyone is out there you can answer my question by sending me a note via the form above (which is anonymous, so it would be nice if you signed some sort of name or screen name.) Or maybe if the spirit moves you create some fan art or fan fic and send it to me by e-mail to answer the query. If I do get replies, I'll set up something for it, I figure this is a good alternative to the forever broken Web Poll that homestead can't fix. |
